My first choice would have been Bitmex because of the liquidity and easy-to-use UI, but since U.S. residents are prohibited by Bitmex's TOS to use their site, I started using 1Fox. Overall it's good, and I would recommend it. I've never interacted with their customer service so I can't speak to that. Pros: 1. U.S. residents can use 2. Leverage, up to 10x 3. SEPARATE long and short orders, can even be long and short at the same time, unlike bitmex--can't be long and short, and orders get combined so you have a new "average entry" price (Also, I really like this -- your separate entries can have DIFFERENT leverage, unlike with bitmex) 4. Interface is pretty easy to use 5. Has chart and OB 6. Connected with 1broker, so you can transfer to and from there with virtually zero fees and it's faster Cons 1. Limited chart/charting (only 15m / 1h / 1D and <5m "range" candles) 2. Low liquidity, market orders are impossible for large amounts unless you want your position to be up to $50 away from where price is now -- usually a big spread as well 3. Loses connection a lot, though 1. that might be on my end, and 2. "reconnect" immediately reconnects you For anyone looking to leverage trade BTC (or stocks/forex/etc with 1broker) as a retail trader in the U.S., I would recommend it, and I've given out referral links to my colleagues.

They're relatively new but they're definitely legit. Good interface, one of the first exchanges to allow ETH BTC trading.
